About

Nancy Pennick
Northeast Ohio

Bio: After a great career in teaching, Nancy found a second calling as a writer. Ohio is her home but she loves to travel the U.S. Her debut novel, Waiting for Dusk, was a surprise to her as much as it was to her family. Watching a PBS series on National Parks, her mind wandered to another place and that is where the characters of Katie and Andrew were born. She has added two more books to the series and is working on a prequel to Waiting for Dusk. The Swedish influences found in the book came from her mother whose parents emigrated from Sweden.

  1. Congratulations on the debut, I wish you all the best. Getting published is a dream of mine and I’m always so very happy to read when someone breaks through.

ps I was in educational publishing for many years and stayed in Willard, Ohio a few times for press runs. I’m forgetting the name of the printer now – I know it wasn’t RR Donnelly – Van something, I think…

      • Thank you, Nancy. I find I keep rerouting. Besides writing, I’m an artist, substitute teacher, private art lesson instructor… I’ve begun a blog in the hopes of putting all my writing, art…in one place. I’d like to return to my YA/MR manuscripts after the blog is up and moving. The thing that’s kept me writing is my good rejection file. I appreciate your well wishes and promise to do my best. People like you are truly inspiring… 🙂
